What should I expect when you arrive at my home?
Please have an open space available for a portable dental chair or cleared space near the patient's bed or favorite chair. I will also need access to an electrical outlet for portable dental equipment and access to a sink to wash my hands prior to treatment. I will provide all the supplies I will use and will follow CDC guidelines for dental treatment. I will wear PPE (personal protective equipment) during treatment to provide a clean and safe environment for myself and the patient.
Do you work with a Dentist?
I collaborate with a Dentist via teledentistry. The Dentist will interpret your radiographs (x-rays) at another location and relay the diagnosis with a treatment plan.
What if I need more than preventative services?
Major services such extractions, removable dentures, resin composite/amalgam restorations will need to be referred to a Dentist. Pallative care to reduce pain/sensitivity will be addressed with Sodium Diamine Fluoride (SDF). SDF can arrest active decay and will be place on patients who cannot tolerate a high-speed dental handpiece. Each patient's condition and capability will be considered when discussing a dental hygiene diagnosis.
I don’t have dental insurance. How much will services cost?
It depends. Each dental hygiene encounter is customized to every patient’s needs and nutritional habits. A $30 mobile fee will apply to areas over 25 miles of serviced areas.
I can work with the patient and the family to provide care for for those who need it.
